In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A Dark Brown Horse Tethered To An Arch With Dogs In A Landscape by George Morley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,094.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by George Morley have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2008 the work British Gentleman With A Horse And Groom was auctioned for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,388.32).
