Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life with flowers by George Laurence Nelson for USD 960.00 (€ 727.44). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Laurence Nelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souvenir of Early Summer in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 12,925.00 (€ 14,372.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life with flowers von George Laurence Nelson für USD 960,00 (€ 727,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Laurence Nelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souvenir of Early Summer im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.925,00 (€ 14.372,29).
