Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George James Rowe could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Marlborough House, St. James's, London changed hands for GBP 562.50 (€ 754.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George James Rowe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pont Street, London in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,814.76).
