The work Acrobats; and An afternoon on the canal, Amsterdam by George J. Charlton was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 456.00 (€ 667.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Other works by George J. Charlton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2005 the work Bloomsbury In The Sun was auctioned for GBP 840.00 (€ 1,234.07).
