Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swimwear by Patou (Molyneux and Yrande), 1930 by George Hoyningen-Huene was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November 2020. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Hoyningen-Huene have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fashion studies, 1939-1942 in February 2009 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,718.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Swimwear by Patou (Molyneux and Yrande), 1930 von George Hoyningen-Huene kam im November 2020 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Hoyningen-Huene auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fashion studies, 1939-1942 im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.718,53).
