The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,752.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by George Hillyard Swinstead have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By Appointment in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91).
