The price achieved of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 23,422.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, By Appointment is the most expensive artwork by George Hillyard Swinstead that we have observed at auctions so far.
