In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Portrait of A Gentleman On His Piebald Hunter, A Pointer To His Side, In An Extensive Landscape by George Henry Laporte. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,237.13), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry Laporte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Noblemen Before Constantinople in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 68,469.27).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of A Gentleman On His Piebald Hunter, A Pointer To His Side, In An Extensive Landscape von George Henry Laporte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.237,13) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Henry Laporte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British Noblemen Before Constantinople im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 68.469,27).
