Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Charger From The 5Th Irish Lancers by George Henry Laporte was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,693.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry Laporte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Noblemen Before Constantinople in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 68,469.27).
