This artwork by George Henry Laporte achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2005. In the Sporting Art auction, the work Harriers; Beagles; Bloodhounds; and Foxhounds sold for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,172.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Henry Laporte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Noblemen Before Constantinople in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 68,469.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Henry Laporte erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting Art wurde die Arbeit Harriers; Beagles; Bloodhounds; and Foxhounds für GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.172,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Henry Laporte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British Noblemen Before Constantinople im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 68.469,27).
