In November 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Still Life with Strawberries by George Henry Hall. The »bidding war« ended at USD 44,650.00 (€ 51,357.26), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Henry Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bric-a-Brac, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).

Im November 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Strawberries von George Henry Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 51.357,26) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Henry Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bric-a-Brac beobachtet, die im Januar diesen Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 139.252,16) versteigert wurde.
