Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Melody by George Hamilton Barrable was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,194.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Hamilton Barrable achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Intercepted in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,120.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Melody von George Hamilton Barrable kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.194,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
