In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The gap by George Finch Mason. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 525.00 (€ 566.13), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Finch Mason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London To Norwich Coach With A Hunt Beyond in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,595.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The gap von George Finch Mason zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 525,00 (€ 566,13) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Finch Mason erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The London To Norwich Coach With A Hunt Beyond im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.975,00 (€ 8.595,01).
