Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Finch Mason could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Songs Without Words. "Good Bye Sweet Tart Good Bye!" changed hands for GBP 358.50 (€ 522.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Finch Mason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London To Norwich Coach With A Hunt Beyond in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,595.01).
