Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Gleneagles Pictures, which included the work A Dutch Fisher-Boy by George Fiddes Watt. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,706.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by George Fiddes Watt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2006 the work Old Age And Youth was auctioned for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,599.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Gleneagles Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dutch Fisher-Boy von George Fiddes Watt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.706,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von George Fiddes Watt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2006 die Arbeit Old Age And Youth für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.599,09) versteigert.
