Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Fennel Robson could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction, the work York Minster From The South East changed hands for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,008.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Fennel Robson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The pass of Glencoe, Scotland in March last year with an auction result of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,914.21).
In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt wechselte die Arbeit York Minster From The South East für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.008,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
