Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A cattle drover on the north shore of Loch Rannoch, Schiehallion behind by George Fennel Robson was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,962.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Fennel Robson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The pass of Glencoe, Scotland in March last year with an auction result of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,914.21).
