Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The singers (illustrated); and Havoc by George Ernest Studdy was sold in the Children's & Illustrated Books & Original Illustrations auction at Christies in London in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,838.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Other works by George Ernest Studdy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2003 the work 'My Mistake!' was auctioned for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,162.04).
