This artwork by George Ernest Studdy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2006. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Bonzo, The Traveller sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,719.38) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Ernest Studdy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'My Mistake!' sold at auction in December 2003 with the realized price of GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,162.04).

In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Bonzo, The Traveller für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.719,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von George Ernest Studdy; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 'My Mistake!' im Dezember 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.162,04).
