In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Part I, which included the work Portrait Of A Young Girl Wearing A Blue Trimmed Hat, Circa 1785 by George Engleheart. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,963.05), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Engleheart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady, facing right in low-cut white dress, white shirt with high standing lace-bordered collar, lace cap and straw bonnet tied with white ribbons in her dark brown curling hair in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 69,706.62).

Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Girl Wearing A Blue Trimmed Hat, Circa 1785 von George Engleheart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.963,05) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Engleheart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young lady, facing right in low-cut white dress, white shirt with high standing lace-bordered collar, lace cap and straw bonnet tied with white ribbons in her dark brown curling hair im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 69.706,62).
