In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1790 by George Engleheart. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,864.12), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by George Engleheart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young lady, facing right in low-cut white dress, white shirt with high standing lace-bordered collar, lace cap and straw bonnet tied with white ribbons in her dark brown curling hair in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 69,706.62).

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1790 von George Engleheart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.864,12) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Engleheart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A young lady, facing right in low-cut white dress, white shirt with high standing lace-bordered collar, lace cap and straw bonnet tied with white ribbons in her dark brown curling hair im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 69.706,62).
