The work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Elizabeth Farren, Later Countess Of Derby, Circa 1790 by George Engleheart was sold in the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction at Sothebys in London in December 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,432.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Engleheart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young lady, facing right in low-cut white dress, white shirt with high standing lace-bordered collar, lace cap and straw bonnet tied with white ribbons in her dark brown curling hair in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 69,706.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Elizabeth Farren, Later Countess Of Derby, Circa 1790 von George Engleheart wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
