Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction The Astor Collection From Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire, which included the work A Pair Of Capercaillie Perched On The Bough Of A Fallen Pine by George Edward Lodge. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,908.11). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Edward Lodge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study of rabbits; and Study of a blue hare, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,473.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Astor Collection From Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Pair Of Capercaillie Perched On The Bough Of A Fallen Pine von George Edward Lodge zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.908,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von George Edward Lodge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study of rabbits; and Study of a blue hare beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.473,61) versteigert wurde.
