Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pheasants in woodland by George Edward Lodge was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,181.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Edward Lodge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study of rabbits; and Study of a blue hare in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,473.61).
