In the The Astor Collection From Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire auction, the work A Cock Pheasant In The Snow, A Cock And Hen Pheasant Beyond sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,923.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Edward Lodge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study of rabbits; and Study of a blue hare, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,473.61).
