The work Groups of fruit Six birds; Groups of flowers... second edition, 1819 by George Brookshaw was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,816.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by George Brookshaw have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2001 the work Four Handcolored Aquatints From: Pomonica Britannica, A Collection Of The Most Esteemed Fruits was auctioned for USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,301.89).
