Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The mother by George Bouverie Goddard was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,056.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Bouverie Goddard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Meet, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,020.70).

Die Arbeit The mother von George Bouverie Goddard kam im März 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.056,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Bouverie Goddard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Meet beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.020,70) versteigert wurde.
