Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Bireline could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Untitled, 1965 changed hands for USD 896.25 (€ 744.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Bireline - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1965, which sold at auction in August 2005 for USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,654.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Bireline konnte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, 1965 für USD 896,25 (€ 744,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Bireline mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1965 beobachtet, die im August 2005 für USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.654,50) versteigert wurde.
