It achieved a price of SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,845.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Oddner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Den dansande matrosen, Kiev", 1955, which sold at auction in May 2014 for SEK 35,000.00 (€ 3,836.14).

Die Arbeit "Studenten eller mannen med boken"(The student or the man with the book), 1955 von Georg Oddner wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.845,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Georg Oddner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Den dansande matrosen, Kiev", 1955 beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für SEK 35.000,00 (€ 3.836,14) versteigert wurde.
