The work Kindertotenlieder Gustav Mahler by Georg Ehrlich was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2009. The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,375.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Ehrlich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Standing Boy, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,916.33).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Kindertotenlieder Gustav Mahler von Georg Ehrlich kam im September 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.375,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georg Ehrlich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Standing Boy beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.916,33) versteigert wurde.
