The work Seated Figure by Georg Ehrlich was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Christies in London in September 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,480.99), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Georg Ehrlich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing Boy in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,916.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seated Figure von Georg Ehrlich wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.480,99) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georg Ehrlich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing Boy im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.916,33).
