Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Amongst reeds in the polder by Geo Poggenbeek was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2005. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,280.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geo Poggenbeek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Horseman on a Path, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 6,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Amongst reeds in the polder von Geo Poggenbeek kam im April 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.280,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Geo Poggenbeek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Horseman on a Path beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert wurde.
