The work Bronco (A Study for Pulp Magazine's Cover) sight 8 x 7 in. framed 20 x 16 in. by Gayle Porter Hoskins was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,877.52), 71% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gayle Porter Hoskins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle of Little Bighorn in January last year with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,757.05).
