Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,292.50 (€ 1,887.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaston Anglade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work En Corrèze, le matin, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,735.51).
