Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life With Flowers; Still Life With Flowers And A Stone Jug by Gaspar Lopez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,002.96). Admittedly, works by Gaspar Lopez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Outdoor Still Life With Flowers On A Fountain And On A Ledge; An Outdoor Still Life With Flowers In A Vase On A Ledge, A Straw Hat Filled With Fruit On The Floor in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 85,129.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers; Still Life With Flowers And A Stone Jug von Gaspar Lopez im Januar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.002,96) den Besitzer.
