In November 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings, which included the work A Still Life Of Flowers In A Bronze Vase, With A Melon, Grapes, Peaches And Other Fruit On A Forest Floor by Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Younger. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 19,120.00 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Younger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tulips, roses, carnations, lilies, chrysanthemums and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge, a bough of oranges, pears, grapes, cherries, nectarines and plums above in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 52,875.00 (€ 86,390.42).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 19.120,00 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Younger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tulips, roses, carnations, lilies, chrysanthemums and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge, a bough of oranges, pears, grapes, cherries, nectarines and plums above im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.875,00 (€ 86.390,42).
