In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Still Life With Hollyhock, Carnations, And Various Flowers In A Vase On A Plinth With A Melon, Cherries, Grapes And Plums On A Ledge sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,057.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tulips, roses, carnations, lilies, chrysanthemums and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge, a bough of oranges, pears, grapes, cherries, nectarines and plums above, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 52,875.00 (€ 86,390.42).
