Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grey Leaves by Gary Hume was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February this year. The price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 950.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gary Hume achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vicious in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 498,035.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grey Leaves von Gary Hume kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 950,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gary Hume erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vicious im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 410.500,00 (€ 498.035,27).
