Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dance in the Black Robe by Gary Carter was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,367.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gary Carter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Battle of Adobe Walls 1874 (Isa-Tai Bad Medicine), which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,886.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dance in the Black Robe von Gary Carter kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gary Carter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Battle of Adobe Walls 1874 (Isa-Tai Bad Medicine) beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.886,63) versteigert wurde.
