Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in London held the auction European and British Art, Part II, which included the work Peeling Apples by Garnet Ruskin Wolseley. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Garnet Ruskin Wolseley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Picking Bluebells in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 82,850.00 (€ 91,658.13).
