Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Asian Art Online, which included the work Couplet of Calligraphy in Cursive Script by Gao Jianfu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,452.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jianfu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon Night in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 507,236.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couplet of Calligraphy in Cursive Script von Gao Jianfu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.452,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianfu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon Night im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 507.236,84).
