A top price for Gail English - as previously expected
In November 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction COLES MYER COLLECTION, which included the work The Road To Katherine by Gail English. The price achieved of AUD 657.25 (€ 382.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 500.00 – 800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Road To Katherine is the most expensive artwork by Gail English that we have observed at auctions so far.
