Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Porto, Rotterdam 1987 by Gabriele Basilico was auctioned at Il Ponte in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gabriele Basilico achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contact in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 105,212.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Porto, Rotterdam 1987 von Gabriele Basilico im April 2018 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.400,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gabriele Basilico erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contact im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 105.212,68).
