Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gabriel Ferrier could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector auction, the work The Gleaner changed hands for USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,095.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Gabriel Ferrier have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2014 by the work French Judith at USD 87,500.00 (€ 70,348.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gabriel Ferrier konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector wechselte die Arbeit The Gleaner für USD 44.100,00 (€ 41.095,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00.
