Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Poissons by Gabriel Godard. The price achieved of USD 1,062.50 (€ 731.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Godard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2014 for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,374.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poissons von Gabriel Godard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.062,50 (€ 731,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Godard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.374,00) versteigert wurde.
