In January 2024 Bonhams in Paris held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Organic Eggs by Futura 2000. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 25,600.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Futura 2000 achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November last year with an auction result of USD 302,400.00 (€ 292,938.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Organic Eggs von Futura 2000 zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 25.600,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Futura 2000 erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 292.938,10).
