The work Daruma by Fūgai Ekun was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2015. The auction ended at the price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,958.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fūgai Ekun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Daruma, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 31,200.00 (€ 25,702.28).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Daruma von Fūgai Ekun kam im April 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.958,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fūgai Ekun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Daruma beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 31.200,00 (€ 25.702,28) versteigert wurde.
