This artwork by Fu Baoshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 3,953,000.00 (€ 451,379.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fu Baoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty in April this year with an auction result of HKD 16,764,000.00 (€ 17,119,323.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fu Baoshi erzielte im Mai 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 3.953.000,00 (€ 451.379,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fu Baoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauty im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.764.000,00 (€ 17.119.323,91).
