A top price for Fu Baoshi
This artwork by Fu Baoshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Beauty sold for HKD 16,764,000.00 (€ 17,119,323.91) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000,000.00. This high result makes Beauty the most expensive artwork by Fu Baoshi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fu Baoshi erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Beauty für HKD 16.764.000,00 (€ 17.119.323,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000.000,00.
