Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Hot Wax Painting 1968 by Fritz Brandtner for CAD 6,600.00 (€ 5,108.02). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fritz Brandtner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 71,500.00 (€ 55,874.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hot Wax Painting 1968 von Fritz Brandtner für CAD 6.600,00 (€ 5.108,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fritz Brandtner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 71.500,00 (€ 55.874,56).
